What are Instagram Reels?
According to Instagram, "Reels are entertaining, immersive videos where you can creatively express your brand story, educate your audience, and get discovered by people who may love your business. People come to Reels to participate in cultural trends, collaborate with the community and discover new ideas."
Basically, Reels are short form vertical videos similar to TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
What are Reels Bonuses?
Instagram Reels Play is an invite only program that pays you for creating Reels.
In oder to get invited to the program, you need to have a professional (business or creator) profile. Also, you need to get 1,000 views on one of your Reels. And... that's it! Seriously. That's all it takes to be eligible for the Reels Bonus Program.
Now as great as that may seem, it can lead to some confusion and frustration.
I got my first Reel to over 1,000 views and I was so excited as I was expecting an invite to the Reels Bonus program soon, however, the invite didn't come until nearly 2 months later. I continued to create Reels in hopes of getting the invite soon, but was frustrated because there weren't any clearly defined goals.
Finally on December 7th, 2022 I was invited to the Reels Bonus Program on my main Instagram account and happily accepted!
All Bonuses are different. Sometimes you have a view goal to hit, sometimes you just need to post a certain number of Reels. Here is my first Bonus Goal: I will earn $10/Reel I post (max of 5 Reels) over the next 21 days. If I post all 5 I will earn the max $50. Once the bonus period closes I will receive a new bonus goal to hit. The more views you get the better your future bonuses will be!
Today I made 2 Reels to get jump started on the Reels Bonus goal. Each of my posts took in total about 15 minutes to create. That is simple easy money that I now have the opportunity to make each month going forward and hopefully it grows and I can earn even higher bonuses. This is why I believe everyone should be making Reels (Tiktoks and Shorts too) in 2023. If you already have Instagram and like watching Reels, why not learn how to create them? All of the creators videos you enjoy are getting paid to make those videos and pay is going growing over time for content creators. And best of all is the fact you don't need a massive following to be eligible for Reels Bonuses!
